Ødemark and Solens Folk are two of the newest doom bands in Denmark although all involved have been in the scene many years. Ødemark grew out of the now defunct From The Caves, while Solens Folk are all from GAIA and Måneskjold.

Ødemark is based in funeral doom and explores its more ambient qualities. Everything has been cut to the bone; riffs, sound and lyrics alike.

Solens Folk explores the territory between Reverend Bizarre and Einstürzende Neubauten. It's heavy, to the point and with an artsy edge.

Both bands sing in danish.
